About the Founder
Mr. Thomas Hum was born in Canton, China.
His young adult life was defined by humble beginnings as he immigrated
to the United States at age fourteen. During this period he worked as a
farmer and would later open several restaurants.
With the exceptional support of his late wife, Josie, he made his
fortune in real estate development. Because he believed that people
should give back to society the prosperity which they received from it,
he pledged a generous donation to CAFE. And he hopes that CAFE will
trigger an increasing trend of philanthropic activities.
