CAFE: CHINESE AMERICAN FOUNDATION FOR EDUCATION

In 2005 Dr. Thomas Tam created CAFE: The Chinese American Foundation for Education, a registered 501(C)(3) in the state of California. Dr. Tam sought to give back to his community in a meaningful way; to pour his knowledge back into the Chinese American community, to share his wisdom about medical health and to encourage mental exploration through study of great philosophers. What started as small lectures on evenings and weekends in the lobby of his medical practice grew to large public day-long events that included lectures, fitness classes and community development. CAFE has reached hundreds of regular participants over the past 16 years and looks forward to growing and expanding in the years to come.
