THOMAS TAM, M.D.
President
Dr. Tam graduated from Brigham Young University in 1968 and Indiana University School of Medicine in 1971. He has been a leading OBGYN in Monterey Park for more than 40 years. Dr. Tam is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and has earned the title of emeritus clinical associate professor from the University of Southern California. Dr. Tam has studied Confucius's teachings and philosophy, frequently applying those principals to his lectures for CAFE. Dr. Tam finds great meaning through the process of learning, analyzing concepts and educating members of his community.
STANLEY TAM, PSY.D.
Online Workshop Leader
Dr. Stanley Tam earned a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, Chicago. He is a licensed Clinical Psychologist who has worked with college students and young adults in a variety of university settings, including Alfred University, the Illinois Institute of Art and the University of Chicago, Illinois. He has previously served as the Director of Health and Counseling Services at Alfred University. His clinical interests include intersectionality, acculturation, diversity psychology, and relational models of treatment. He integrates parts theory, internal family systems and insight based therapy focusing on regulating and building scaffolding with individuals.
ELIZABETH TAM
Secretary and Treasurer, MS Candidate
Mrs. Tam joined CAFE in 2021Â in the role of Secretary and Treasurer. She brings a wealth of experience in Nonprofit Management and is pursuing a Masters in Nonprofit Leadership and Management at Arizona State University. She has held senior level positions in higher education and has managed large-scale events management teams at a think-tank and in city government.
EDDIE LAM, M.D.
Vice President
Dr. Eddie Lam is an experienced medical doctor in the field of Internal Medicine. Driven by his desire to help his patients, he takes pride in providing the best possible medical care and has successfully helped his patients for more than 30 years. He has been involved in CAFE for the last 5 years while also establishing his own philanthropic goals through his family foundation. He is drawn to the work of CAFE due to the same philosophy, the value and joy of giving. Helping others just make one feel good.
